Numbo Privacy Policy
- Your records stay on your device. Profiles, names, dates of birth, habits, diary entries, transactions, remedies and every number Numbo calculates are stored only on your phone or tablet. Numbo has no account, no sign-in and no server, and the developer never receives them.
- Three things do use the network, and none of them carries your records: anonymous crash reports (you can switch them off), banner ads for users who have not bought Premium, and the Premium purchase, which is handled entirely by the app store.
- Nothing is sold. Numbo does not sell or rent any information, and has none of your records to sell.
1. Who we are
Numbo is developed and published by Ajinkya Sanjay Joshi, an individual developer based in India ("we", "us"). For anything in this policy, contact us at support@ajinkkya.com.
2. Your records never leave your device
Everything you enter into Numbo โ profiles and their names and dates of birth, groups, habits and their logs, diary entries, transactions, remedies and findings, magic-number sightings, notes, saved AI results โ and everything Numbo calculates from it, including numerology numbers, reports, streaks and Karma, is stored in a database on your device only.
- There is no account and no sign-in. Numbo does not know who you are.
- We do not operate any server that receives your records, and Numbo does not send them anywhere.
- Your records are never included in crash reports, ad requests or purchase transactions. The app enforces this in code: it refuses to attach names, dates of birth, notes, amounts or numerology numbers to a crash report.
- If you uninstall Numbo, its data is removed from your device along with it, unless you have made a backup.
3. Backups
You can create a backup of your Numbo data from Settings. A backup is:
- Encrypted with a passphrase you choose, using AES-256-GCM with a key derived from your passphrase (PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256). Without the passphrase, the file cannot be read. We never see your passphrase and cannot recover it.
- Saved wherever you choose โ a folder on your device, or any app or service you pick in your device's share or save dialog. Numbo itself never uploads a backup. If you choose to save it to a cloud storage service, that service's own privacy policy applies to the file you store there.
4. Crash reports
If Numbo crashes, it can send an anonymous crash report so the fault can be found and fixed. Crash reports are collected by Firebase Crashlytics, a service provided by Google.
| A crash report contains | A crash report never contains |
|---|---|
| The technical trace of what went wrong ยท the app version ยท your device model ยท its operating system and version ยท a coarse region ยท a random installation identifier generated by the crash-reporting service | Anything you have entered into Numbo ยท any number Numbo has calculated about you ยท your name, date of birth, notes or amounts ยท your contacts, location or photos |
- You can switch crash reports off at any time in Settings โ Privacy โ Send anonymous crash reports. When it is off, nothing is sent โ including reports for crashes that have already happened.
- Crash reports are used only to find and fix faults in Numbo โ never for advertising or profiling.
- Google retains crash data for up to 90 days. See Firebase's privacy information.
5. Advertising
If you have not bought Premium, Numbo shows banner ads on a few read-only screens. Ads are provided by Google AdMob. Numbo never shows ads to Premium users, and never shows them on a form, during the daily check-in, or in a notification.
- What the ad service receives: to show and measure an ad, Google's ad service collects information such as your device's advertising identifier (on Android), your IP address, device and operating-system details, and how you interact with the ad. It does not receive any of your Numbo records.
- Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland: before any ad is requested, Numbo asks for your consent through Google's consent form. You can change your choice at any time in Settings โ Privacy โ Ad privacy choices.
- On iOS: Numbo never asks for permission to track you across apps and websites, so your device's advertising identifier is not available to the ad service, and ads on iOS are not personalised using it.
- On Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device's settings (Settings โ Privacy โ Ads, or Google โ Ads, depending on your device).
- Remove all ads with the one-time Premium purchase.

6. Premium purchase
Premium is a one-time purchase made through Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS). The store handles the entire transaction, including your payment details, under its own privacy policy.
- Numbo never sees your name, card or payment details.
- Numbo receives only the store's confirmation that Premium is owned, and stores a single "Premium is unlocked" flag on your device.
- Restoring a purchase asks the store again; nothing is kept by us.
7. Things that stay on your device
- Reminders and notifications are scheduled by Numbo on your device. They are not sent through any server, and turning them off stops them entirely.
- AI prompts. Numbo can build a text prompt from a record for you to paste into an AI chat app of your choice. Numbo only copies the text; it does not send it anywhere. An option lets you leave your name and date of birth out of the prompt. If you paste a prompt into another service, that service's privacy policy applies.
- Sharing. When you use a Share button, Numbo hands the content to your device's share sheet and you choose where it goes.
- Ratings. Numbo may occasionally show your app store's own rating prompt. Your rating goes to the store; Numbo receives nothing.
- Settings and preferences โ theme, accent colour, section layout and similar โ are stored on your device only.
8. Device permissions
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Internet and network state | Crash reports, ads and the Premium purchase. Your records are never sent. |
| Notifications | Reminders. Numbo asks once, the first time you open it; you can decline, and Numbo works fully without it. You can change your mind in your device's settings. |
| Run at start-up, vibration | Re-schedule your reminders after the device restarts, and vibrate when one arrives. |
| Billing (Android) | The Premium purchase through Google Play. |
| Advertising ID and related ad services (Android) | Used by the ad service to show and measure ads to users who have not bought Premium. |
| Keep awake, foreground service (Android) | Required by third-party components (the ad service and Android's work scheduler) for short background tasks. Numbo's own code runs no background service. |
Numbo does not request access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or files.
9. Children
Numbo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Because your records stay on your device, we hold no records of any user, including children.
10. Your choices and rights
Because your records exist only on your device, you already hold them: you can view, edit, back up or delete any of them inside the app, and uninstalling Numbo removes them.
- Crash reports: switch them off in Settings โ Privacy.
- Ads: change your consent choice in the app (EEA, UK and Switzerland), reset your advertising ID in your device settings, or remove ads with Premium.
- Depending on where you live โ including under the EU and UK GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 โ you may have rights to access, correct or erase personal data, to object to processing, and to complain to your data protection authority. For the limited data handled by Google's services, you can also exercise these rights directly with Google. To contact us about any of this, write to support@ajinkkya.com.
11. Security
Your records are stored in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read. Backups are encrypted with your passphrase. Crash reports and ad requests are sent over encrypted connections.
12. Changes to this policy
If Numbo's handling of information changes, we will update this page and its effective date before the change reaches you in an app update.
